Postdoctoral Research Fellowships at the CACS

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The Centre for Africa-China Studies (CACS) at the University of Johannesburg invites applications from motivated and innovative researchers for Postdoctoral Research Fellowships.

ROLE
  • High quality research in Africa-China relations
  • Organizing and participating in conferences and seminars on Africa-China relations and international affairs in the developing world
  • Resources mobilisation
  • Interfacing with the appropriate academic and corporate entities
  • Academic publications of not less than two (2) units annually in peer-reviewed platforms
  • Linking Africa-China relations and international affairs in the developing world with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • Giving guest lectures in political science and international relations at the University of Johannesburg
APPLICATION PROCESS

Interested candidates should submit the following:

  • Updated curriculum vitae
  • Cover letter
  • Certified copy of your PhD certificate
  • A 1000-word proposal outlining your goals at CACS and your contribution to the growing

scholarship on Africa-China relations

QUALIFICATIONS
  • PhD obtained in the last five (5) years from a recognized institution
  • Demonstrate excellent skills in academic research and publication
  • Interest in Africa-China relations and international affairs in the developing world
