Webinar on BRICS expansion

On Monday 21 August 2023, the Centre for Africa-China Studies (CACS), in partnership with the UJ LIbrary, hosted a webinar titled: ‘BRICS Expansion?’

BACKGROUND

A growing number of African, Asian and Latin American countries have expressed an interest in joining the BRICS bloc. Speculation is rife as to how many countries, if any, will join the bloc, and the form this expansion may take. This webinar, ahead of the 15th BRICS Summit in South Africa, brought together experts in the field to discuss this topic.
