On Tuesday 6 September 2022k, the UJ Centre for Africa-China Studies (CACS), in partnership with the UJ Library, hosted a webinar titled ‘Kenya before and after the 9 August elections – analysis and way forward’.
Kenya, located in the volatile east African region, is a key investment market in sub-Saharan Africa. The success of the general elections held on 9 August 2022 offers hope for democracy in the region and more broadly on the continent. In this timely webinar, our panel unpacked the vital factors that have underpinned these elections – the events leading up to the polls, the outcome, and what this holds for Kenya’s future.
